“Dedicate” - Set aside or commit to a sacred purpose
At COV, dedication is not baptism. The practice of dedication is an act for parents more than it is for the child or children. The purpose of dedication is:
1. Celebrate the child, joyfully thanking God for their addition to the family and the church community
2. Parents commit themselves to raise their child in the nurture/love of the Lord and for the church to pray/encourage them in their parental responsibility of discipleship
We offer child dedications twice a year: once on Mother’s Day & once in October. If you are interested in dedicating your child, please contact us using the form above.
