For most of my life, God was only someone I prayed to when things went wrong or when I wanted something good to happen. Up until high school, I believed that saying prayers and trying to be a morally good person was all I had to do in order to have a relationship with God and "make it to Heaven.”

Those beliefs drastically changed in 2016 during my second year of college at San Jose State. Jesus drew me to Himself using believers I had previously met in high school as well as a body of believers in a college ministry called Pulse. Through a series of events that were evidently orchestrated by God - I began to follow Jesus that year.

The first night I attended Pulse, I met Tim Reilly for the second time (the first time was in high school) after ignoring his questions about Jesus for three years. I ended up plugged into the church plant Tim lead called Compelled Together. I continued attending Pulse and Compelled Together where I learned about who Jesus truly is and how to follow and obey Him. Since then, I have also become part of what God is doing at Church of the Valley. My life has become one that is continually being changed by Jesus.

A born and raised San Jose native, I currently attend SJSU as an Economics major. I am also the Worship Lead here at Church of the Valley. This means I get to serve and worship God in a variety of ways, both on and off Worship Team. It is a privilege and a blessing to be able to serve the Lord in different ways and to be able to learn from others.
